There’s a big event happening in a few weeks and you’re all invited. We're celebrating social enterprise and bringing together the players in our community for a night of food, photography and making connections.
On Thursday, October 18th CALGARY+acumen is hosting DIGNITY, an evening that celebrates social enterprise and impact investments in Calgary. Join us and meet local social entrepreneurs, partake in our silent and live auction (all funds go to investments that tackle poverty!), and enjoy great wine and beer, provided by Village Brewery and Vine Arts.
Great photography. Great food, beer and wine. Great ideas. Definitely not a night to miss!

On Thursday October 18th, CALGARY+acumen is hosting its annual DIGNITY Calgary photography exhibition and auction. This one-night event will bring together the city's impact investment and social enterprise communities, for an entertaining evening that benefits Acumen Fund, a not-for-profit venture fund eradicating global poverty.
VENUE The main event will be hosted in Calgary’s iconic Simmons Building in the East Village. Event highlights include delicious wine from Vine Arts, beer from Village Brewery, and stunning photography for live and silent auction. The Simmons Building is located at 618 Confluence Way SE.
PHOTOGRAPHS The event features photos from the Nuru Project, a group using photography for social change, who have contributed 20 prints taken in India, Pakistan and East Africa by world-renowned photographers to be sold via live and silent auction.
HOW TO TURN "GOOD" INTO A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE (entrepreneurs only pre-event)

Prior to the main event, CALGARY+acumen and Startup Calgary will host entrepreneurs at Assembly co-work space, where they will walk through the practical realities of how they can turn "Good" business practices into a real competitive advantage. Calgary-based DIRTT, a company that has been lauded for its ability to achieve high growth and high social and environmental impact, will be on site to share practical frameworks for decision-making as well as some war stories from their own growth experiences.
For entrepreneurs who are curious about how to incorporate good practices into their business and why it truly matters, this is one event you won’t want to miss.The Entrepreneurs pre-session starts at 5:00 PM sharp at Assembly, located at 119 14th street NW (14th street and Kensington Road NW). Please arrive 15 minutes early to get registered, grab a seat/beer, and meet your fellow entrepreneurs.

Student Price - $25. (STUDENTS ONLY)
*Tickets include one complementary drinks, appetizers, photography exhibit and live entertainment.
WHERE THE FUNDS GO 100% of all ticket proceeds and on-site event sales go directly to Acumen Fund. 50% of all photo sales go to Acumen Fund with 25% to support Nuru Project and 25% to support the photographer of the print. DIGNITY has been hosted 12 times in 10 cities around the world raising over $150K for Acumen Fund.
